So I have been ALL about CHEAP Halloween decorations this year. Almost all of my decor has either been used from past years, or found at the Dollar store from this season. And no, I’m not talking about the Dollar General, I’m talking the actual $1 store; where everything is literally one dollar. It’s pretty fabulous if you ask me.

As you can imagine, the dollar store doesn’t always have the most sophisticated items. It takes a little bit of work to get them “Amy approved”! Thankfully I have a little theory that just about anything can be spray painted. I just made over my $1 store pumpkins, found here, and I was very happy with the outcome. Today I will be showing you the skulls I made over from that same shopping trip.

As soon as I saw these skulls, I knew they would look much nicer with a solid coat of white on them. I already had some matte white spray paint at home, so I grabbed a few skulls and threw them in my cart! It took about 3 good coats of paint, but once they were done, they were SO much more attractive! A perfect neutral to add to my halloween table scape.

And here is a sneak peek of my center piece where the skull is actually being used. Make sure to stop by on Thursday, October 17th to see my Halloween Home Tour! You will see my full centerpiece and much more!
